In addition to the well-known benefits of vitamin C found in citrus, sanguine oranges offer another reason to consume citrus though the winter. Thanks to it’s anthocyanin content, the sanguine aids in reducing fat accumulation. Basil is an anti-inflammatory (great for Winter!) due to it’s high (E)-beta-caryophyllene content. Adding a high-quality olive oil and some ginger balsamic makes this salad delicious.
